Wednesday, July 09, 2008The Battle Lot's has happened since last we spoke.
Lord Stephans mother, the woman who bore him, has passed to the great halls of Valhalla. What a glorious celebration of life! All were in attendance for she lived a long, wondrous life! She will be missed, our condolences go to Lord Stephan and his family. The summer winds doth blow in the lands of rock and stone. Many pilgrims come fore the healing powers of the sea. The streets are filled with happy, laughing people and all seems well in the land of rock and stone. Redbeard and Mad Marie are well. Redbeard is recovering well from a battle wound to his knee. He is impatient and wishes to fight again, but he must rest for now, for their are many battles that lay ahead for him. Marie doth toil in her gardens, making the grass grow and the flowers bloom, perchance she should be planting corn or wheat, but that is not for the Gumba to say. The Great Beasts are better, Maya dos not scratch and whine and itch as much. The great animal mage has given her juices of many berries and grasses, and this seems to help. Balou is getting gray about his snout, but give him a ball and he is as a pup. Frolicking about merrily, ahhhhh to be a great beast again. the Gumba misses his barbaric days. Catherine of Khatadin is well, working at the great hall of cave paintings, counting coins and gold. Wishing to be in the sun and frolicking amongst the waves. As caring and as loving as always. Kerry the Bard, the Gumbas companion, friend, soulmate. She is well, working in the land of Bath, toiling away, helping the minions buy and sell land. She is the reason the Gumba wakes each morning, that and the fact that the sun hits his eyes around 5am. (LOL). She is the reason more lessor hoard es are not dead. The Gumba battles Lord Directorium, he has lost many soldiers and is wondering if the battle is worth it. He may just release the wicked gas and the foul cankers as well as the the Stumprangers, led by Homer, (not a man like you or I, with arms like tree trunks and blazen red hair). But then the land would be uninhabitable and the Gumba would have to move his castle. This thought intrigues the Gumba and he will give it much thought. All in all, life is good, the sun shines and the Gumba is on the top side of the dirt. He misses the Red Prince and the Otter Queen and the curmudgeons, but soon enough, he and the Bard will see them again and feast heartily, for the Immortals have to come together or the world just isn't right. Long live Kerry the Bard, may her songs keep the Gumba on an even keel. Long live the Great Gumba, may his battles prove worth it. Huzzah to the Red Prince and Otter Queen. So sayeth the Great White Sage of the Northron Region.

Aye, Mad Marie toils still to make the grass grow and flowers bloom. Even though the loyal beast of Stewart Keep has passed some 2 years ago, still the ground will not cover over in soft grass. I feel Buster will not surrender to the dark but prowls the grounds protecting all within. For the first time small blades of grass doth begin to cover his resting spot.

Redbeard fights against the healing ties that have been put in place for this protection and aid, but this too shall pass as he regains more of his great strength day by day. Today we are off to the wise man of herbs who will determine his healing progress. We wish him fast recovery as there is much fun to be had while the sun is hot and the days are fair. As for the growing of corn and grain, I left that up to Maddy... where is she? Quick enough to be around when a tankard is being raised! |
