A Day of Remembrance, of Joy, of Sorrow!

The Gregorian and Druidian calenders mark this day as 9-11, the ninth month and the eleventh day of the year.

Ti's the day that the Great Gumba was born, yes today the world was blessed with a new and fierce Immortal, the wicked gas, the foul cankers, Mournblade and all that is associated with the Great Gumba and his world.

Today is also the day when two great DaVinci flying machines flew into the two towers of gold.
the commerce center for the Great Gumbas lands.

The Gumba reflects on today and remembers many things:

Racing Ma was already dying of some rare disease known as Cancear.
The White Haired Hermit was under the spell of the bewilderment faeries.
The Mid Wife's and nurses were attending Racing Ma and The White Haired Hermit 24 hours a day, seeing to their every need and comfort.

The Bard and the Gumba had only been married for two years at this point, the Great Beast Balou was the only Great Beast in the feasting halls of Castle Catalano.
The Gumba and Mage Jim were business partners!
The World was a happy and restful place.

The Gumba remembers the first Owl from the Mage Jim, proclaiming the first flight of the DaVinci Machines into the first tower of gold.

Owls flew far and wide for the next hour, proclaiming disaster had struck.
The next owl flew to the Great Gumba, proclaiming the second tower of gold had been struck, both towers of gold were burning and no one knew why!

Hours later, the towers fell, taking with it four fierce warriors, known to the Gumba as friends.
Turmoil ensued, grief had fallen upon the land, for many a fierce warrior had died this day, and no one knew why!!!!!

Their was no feasting this night, even tho it was the Gumbas day of birth, tonight was a night of remembrance.

Over the next few hours, many owls found the Great Gumba, one was from a dear friend, one of the greatest warriors known to the Gumba.
He had fought in a place known as Moga-De-Shu, trying to rescue a giant bird known as a Black Hawk. He was a warrior and a healer, healing those wounded in battle.

He sent word that when he had seen what had happened to the towers of gold, that he was going away. This was the last Owl that the Gumba ever received from his friend.

The Bard and the Gumba watched as vast amounts of Gold were pillaged from the coffers of the Gumba and Bard, not knowing how to stop it.
Millions of pieces of gold just seemed to vanish over night.

The Mage Jim changed, becoming bitter and spiteful.

Life went on, but ALL had changed, soon Racing Ma and the White Haired Hermit passed on to the Halls of Valhalla, the Gumbas wealth had dried up, and the great journey to the Northron Regions began.

To what ever god you pray, pray that all are safe who protect the lands.
Pray that what happened those years ago, never happens again.

Cast your eyes upon the skies tonight and remember!!!

Huzzah to those great warriors who gave their lives helping others.
Long live the Great Gumba and Kerry the Bard!

So Sayeth the Great White Sage of the Northron Region.
