A mythical and magical journey, started by one and carried on by another. Most is true, just shrouded in the mythical realm. Tales of the Great Gumba, his Bride Kerry the Bard, and a large assortment of many Immortals and Lessor Hoardes, his life in the Great Northron Regions and all that happens therein. Huzzah!!! |
Tuesday, February 07, 2006The Day Before the Day of Eternal Bondage! The very ground shook as the caravans from the south thundered towards the land of rock and stone. They came for the Bondage Ceremony. What a grand spectacle it was to be.
For tomorrow, Prince Loughdaugh and Princess Holepona were to be bound together forever. Lord Stephan had agreed to host the ceremony, for he had a castle with many grand rooms for the lesser hoards to stay and be comfy. Kerry the Bard had agreed to Bind them together (grin) and Bake the Cake of Binding. A cake unlike any other, for it would be moist and delicious, layered with rich, creamy frosting. Lick able only by Princess Holepona. For she alone was worthy to lick. The Feasting Legend, the Great Gumba, had agreed to cater the event. Time to light the great fire pits of feasting, time to pay homage to his great and dear friend Prince Loughdaugh. There would be plenty of meat for all. Melchior the carpenter was one of the first to arrive, regal and stately, with wenches trailing in his shadow, only wishing to touch him or get a glimpse of his six pack abs. He traveled far to wish his new friend well. The Princes family was next to arrive, to help celebrate the night before the day of eternal bondage. The Princes Mother: Queen Elainenu arrived in a golden chariot, driven by one of her daughters, the Huntress Bethany. The horses thundered to a halt in front of the castle of rock and stone, a shrill cry was heard through out the land as the Huntress Bethany heralded their return to the land of rock and stone. The great castle gates groaned open as the chariot slipped inside. Next came the rest of the princes family, Princess Lee and Princess Tracy with their respective families. The castle was awash in curmudgeons. The Duke of the Waslands arrived shortly after with his consort Marseha, a lovely visage, clad in gossamer, a wisp of a lass. The Duke was proud to have her by his side. (As well he should). The Rogue Randie was next to arrive, with his lovely wife Sheriese, thundering in on a magnificent beast, a small entourage in tow. The Great Beast halted at the gates to wait for the chariot of Sheriese to arrive. The Lady Sheriese was as stunning as a Northron Regions sunset on a summers eve. (I was told to say that). The gates creaked and groaned; slowly they opened allowing the chariots to slip inside. The Lady Lisay and her consort Lord Scoot arrived shortly after, not ones to be outdone by the rogue and his wife. Lord Scoot was a fair and just man, his consort Lady Lisay was as smart as she was beautiful. Fitting friends for Prince Loughdaugh. Fair, just, and willing to go to war to honor their friend, Prince Loughdaugh. Many a day they rode together, great thundering beasts, wind whistling through their hair, (well most of them)! Raignments of leather (WOOOHOOO). Hard as nails, they thundered towards destiny. The Lady Jennevive arrived at the gates, once slated for a rendezvous with Melchior the Carpenter; maybe someday the two shall sup together. Hair as black as a raven, a smile that would melt the most frigid and dark heart. Quiet, yet whimsical, she observed the days festivities. Who knows, maybe she will scribe her own version of the day. Princes Holeponas family and friends were next to arrive. Lord Rusea, a striking figure of a man, one who has seen much battle, (he had to raise daughters), much strife and yet, much tranquility also. A fair man, but one of great conviction, for he was the sire of Princess Holepona. On his arm the lovely Lady Dalee, Holeponas mother. Ravishing in her raignments, a vision to behold. A queen in her own right. A visage to behold, the gods themselves quiver when she alights into a room. Next, Holeponas sister, Heidia, the trickster. Starting in life as a court jester, she has worked her way up to royal comedian. Always tormenting the Great Gumba with foolishness and trickery. Her consort, Brania, the actor. He likes to portray women on stage, (what he does off stage). A tall and slender man, the portrayal of women is not a far stretch for him to achieve. (HeHe). Together, a fitting pair. Forever ensconced in Prince Loughdaughs world, for tomorrow he gets married, not only to Princess Holepona, but to her family! The Great Midwife of the bay of Penobscot soon sauntered in with her escort, Lord To-May, the woodsman, protector of the Lands, The Seas and the sky. A fierce and mighty warrior, protecting all animals, great and small, the land they occupy and all inhabitants therein. Smiting all who defile mother earth. Lady Roxxy, the voluptuous, and her husband Leray the omniscient one. Leray can barkeep, play music to the Hoards and protect the homeland. A Great and wondrous being. The Lady K and her husband Mekay the quiet. Lady K from the land of Simpy. Creators of the light. The Lady L, the Mage. Keeper of magic and magic things. Just appeared, as she often does, in a wisp of smoke to the wonderment of all around. All who call the Prince and Princess Friend, were in attendance. The reveralry began and will last well into the night. The hounds will prowl and howl, the winds will whirl, and the moon shall cast an eerie glow upon the ground, for tomorrow……… Prince Loughdaugh and Princess Holepona shall be ever bound, in the ceremony of binding. HUZZAH to all who have come. HUZZAH to this great day. HUZZAH to the Prince and Princess. For tomorrow, a new beginning, a new path, a new way. Long live the Prince and Princess. So sayeth the Great White Sage of The Northron Regions.

And lo, the friar was not there in attendance to offer a blessing to the new couple. And so, it shall be done here:

"Lord of Heaven and Earth, On this day, we ask you to bless the union of Prince Loughdaugh and Princess Holepona. May they forever be in love, as well as love, one another. May they look not upon anyone else for contentment, save you and each other, o Lord. What you have joined, Lord, let no man break." Amen. |
